Gym Project: Extra Supplies

There is little worse than working on a project and finding you have run out of something you need. When that happens to me I know I have a 40 minute round trip drive to the hardware store. Therefore when I work on a project I like to buy more than I will need. At the end of the project I will decide whether to keep the unused and unopened material for a future project, or to return it.

Recently I took a trip to the hardware store to load up on supplies. The cashier failed to hand me one of the bags and I failed to realize it was missing. I estimate there was $42 in that bag. 

I realized it was missing the next day and called. But the hardware store said no bag had been left behind. That meant the guy in line behind me scored a $42 jackpot courtesy of yours truly. 

I was upset about this but what can anyone do? Nothing. So I have to just let it go. And for a penny pincher like me? That is a difficult thing to do.
